it happens every year without fail and yet it still takes me by surprise. a few short days ago i went to bed on a chilly fall evening and woke up to a white world of blowing snow. more than most years , i was not mentally prepared for it. a half built house in the rigid cold is a depressing thing. last night i took solace in the remaining film from my summer roll.

it has happened to all of us, we saw that perfect  lamp, dress , haircut, recipe,book ,wallpaper one day while we were having coffee and surfing the net and now we can't find it again. well as the saying goes now there is an " app " for that. pinterest is the latest web sensation and  i have to say, i am going to love it. simply sign - up and start pining . the next time you see some thing you love or is " pinteresting" to you " pin it " and save it to your board. you can divide your boards into categories ex. home  , hair, fashion or whatever you want to remember.  brides it will be a great tool for wedding planning/ inspiration.

i am feeling a bit of dejavu' day. i so clearly remember  sitting in the middle of the night with my Mom and some friends and watching Diana marry Charles , now in the blink of an eye i am planning  to do an all-nighter with my girls to watch the next royal wedding. as a person who looks at a LOT of weddings these days i have high hopes for some new wedding dress trends to come out of this day. being much older than the last time i just hope i can stay awake!

i have met so many talented people on Flickr this last year it has been a great growing experience. i made it a point to become contacts with photographers of varying styles and i especially love the work of my European contacts. some people  not only have creativity running through their veins but in their families too. my Flickr friend maggie  has a very talented brother and we love his cd around our house, his songs were used on Grey's anatomy several times last spring.relax and listen to this great song by andrew belle

what better time for some inspiration then a rainy monday morning. my brain is in full design mode again these days,we waited so long to start this house build i want to make sure everything is planned just right,the reality is however that there is a LOT of things to do before the fun stuff. i spent the weekend learning how to operate a tractor with a loader and raking and compacting an entire semi load of gravel... there are 6 more to go!!!! this morning i needed to look at some inspiring  elements of design .

on holiday this year i pick up a copy of vogue magazine, simply because of the cover shot. i love Marion Cotillard, when ever i am in the mood for a french holiday  i curl up and watch" A Good Year".
